Bye bye Uruguay!!!

Mamá dijo que me despidiera del cuarto y de la casa de los abuelos pero yo me puse muy triste y me puse a llorar, y entonces mamá me ayudó para que no estuviera tan triste. Parte de la familia también fue a despedirnos al aeropuerto. Me puse muuuy triste cuando se fueron abuela y titi Paty, pero ya estoy mejor.

Mum suggested I said goodbye to the bedroom and my grandparent´s house but I was too sad and I started crying. But Mum helped me to stop me being sad. Part of the family also went to the airport to say "good bye". Y was veeeeeeeeery sad when grandma and titi Paty had to leave, but I{m already better...

Last night at Paty´s house / La última noche dormí con titi Paty

La última noche la pasé con la tía Paty. Después que todos se fueron de la casa de los abuelos, yo quise dormir con mi tía y primas. En la mañana nos fuimos de compras a un lugar que se llama Paso Molino. Y me compraron regalitos para llevar en el avión. Y mis botas negras!!!

I spent the last night with untie Paty. After everyone left from grandma´s place, I went to my antie´s and cousin´s place and slept there. In the morning we went for some last minute shopping to a place called "Paso Molino". And they bought be presents to take on the plane. And my new black boots!

Farewell dinner with empanadas and pizza / Cena de despedida con empanadas y pizza

La última noche toda la familia, las amigas de mamá sus familias vinieron a lo de los abuelos a ayudarnos a preparar las valijas, conversar, y compartir la cena. Fue un gran desorden!!! Muchos niños y mucho ruido! 

The last night in Montevideo all the familia, my mum´s best friends and her families came to grandma´s place to help us prepare the bags, talk and have dinner together. It was a big messy night!!! Many kids and a lot of noise!

A toilet seat for Dad / Una tapa de water para papá

Papá nos pidió que le compráramos una tapa de water con asiento blandito porque en Australia no hay. Asi que el día antes de irnos, volamos con mamá a hacer varias compras y la tapa del water fue lo primero de la lista. :)

Dad asked mum to buy him a soft toilet seat because he can´t find those in Australia. So the day before returning, we went with Mum and granma to do shopping and the toilet seat was first in the list. :)

Última noche en la casa de la abuela / Last night at granma´s house

Como era la última noche la abuela me leyó cuentos, cuentos y cuentos hasta que me quedé dormida. La abuela sabe contar lindos cuentos.

On the last night at her place, grandma read many stories until I fell asleep. Grandma knows how to tell good stories.

Más football en la casa de Patty - More soccer at Patty´s place

Como justo era la Copa América cuando fuimos a Uruguay, había muchos partidos importantes y después de merendar en lo de Rodrigo, nos fuimos a ver un partido en el que Uruguay perdió. Igual yo seguí jugando con el wiii.. jajajaj



As the Copa America was up and running while we went to Uruguay, there were many important matches. So on Wednesday 24 June, after having tea at Rodrigo´s, we went to Paty´s to watch the match where Uruguay lost. :(
I went on playing with the wiii after the match. hahahaha

Merienda con Rodri y Anahi / Afternoon tea with Rodrigo and Anahi

Mi tío Rodrigo y mi tía Anahi viven en un quinto piso en un barrio llamado Sayago, a unos pocos metros de la casa de los abuelos. Me encanta la vista desde el apartamento. Pasamos precioso en la merienda y comimos un montón de cosas ricas.

My uncle Rodrigo and auntie Anahi live in a 5th floor in a suburb called Sayago, just a few metres from my grandparents´place. I love the view from their place. We had a lovely afternoon tea with lots of yummy naughty food.

Visitamos a Adela y Néstor / We visited Adela and Néstor

Adela y Néstor son los padres de Mariel, una de la mejores amigas de mamá. Fue lindo verlos y también a mamá y la abuela conversando con ellos.





Adela and Néstar are Mariel´s parents, one of mum´s best friends. It was nice seeing them as well as mum and granma talking with them. 

El apartamento nuevo de la tía Raquel / The new apartment of aunt Raquel

Raquel, la hermana de la abuelita, se compró un apartamento nuevo y lo fuimos a visitar. Es calentito y desde el tercer piso se puede ver el cerro, la bahía de Montevideo y los barcos entrando y saliendo. En lo de la tía Raquel jugué con una pelota graaaande graaaaande y azul que guarda en el cuarto.

Raquel, grandma´s sister, bought a new apartment and we went to visit her. It´s warm and from the 3rd floor we could see Montevideo Hill, the bay and the boats coming in and out of the port. At Raquel´s I played with a ginormous blue ball I found in her bedroom.

Castillo del Parque Rodó / Parque Rodó Castle

En Australia yo veía el video en Youtube de "Eran tres alpinos que venían de la guerra... eran tres alpinos que venían de la guerra... ay ay ay Rataplan, que venían de la gueeee...rrrraaaa". Y quise ir al castillo del video para hacer mi propio video, vestida de princesa.
La abuela me consiguió un vestido precioso y mamá me peinó pero cuando llegamos lo estaban arreglando. La sorpresa fue que alrededor del castillo había un lago hermoso lleno de cisnes y patos y  les dí de comer mucho pan y ellos estaban felices.
Cuando vuelva a Uruguay voy a ir al castillo de vuelta, y esta vez voy a poder entrar y mamá dice que es mucho mejor porque va a estar todo lindo restaurado.

In Australia I used to watch in you tube the song and video "Eran tres alpinos que venían de la guerra... eran tres alpinos que venían de la guerra... ay ay ay Rataplan, que venían de la gueeee...rrrraaaa" And I wanted to go to the castle to film my own video, dressed as a princess.
Grandma got me a beautiful dress and mum did my hair. But when we arrived, the castle was being renovated and we were not allowed in. The nice surprise was that outside the castle there was a beautiful lake full of ducks and swans and I gave them lots of bread and they were happy.
When I return to Uruguay I will go to the castle again and this time I will be able to go inside. Mum says this way is better as the castle will be all done and pretty.
